Using the helix bong means taking advantage of the Venturi chamber. This chamber provides a connection as well as a choke between the lower chamber and the mouthpiece of the bong. This chamber changes the airspeed and pressure which results in a cool tornado effect when smoke passes through the Venturi chamber. With the additional angled slit diffusion on the down stem, air swirls with the smoke making it super easy to inhale.
Here are some tips for using a GRAV Helix style bong to get the most out of it and get it working the way it was designed.
Fill lower chamber with 2 inches (50mm) of water (ice water works awesome!)
Make sure all the slits in the downstem are fully submerged underwater.
Pack the bowl with your desired herb and insert it to the 14mm joint.
Take a slow, steady drag through the mouthpiece and light the herb.
Maintain a steady and even drag through the mouthpiece.
Thick smoke is going to collect on the lower chamber.
Once you have enough smoke in the lower chamber, maintain the steady even drag and pull out the bowl piece.
Draw in more aggressively and watch the smoke swirl around inside the upper Venturi chamber as you clear the chambers.
